DJ Staxx B was born in Philly and raised up with music from all over the world.  Inspired to scratch his first record over 30 years ago, he has been grooving to the tunes ever since.  Spending hours each day on the traditional turntables has always provided a tremendous outlet and resource to simply, enjoy life. Although he traveled for much of his childhood, Staxx B planted his roots of upbringing firmly in the soil of 'the ATL' and has gained tremendous inspiration from the 'Dirty South'' way of life.  Not only did his love for music change his life, the sounds he would spend time merging quickly got the attention of many neighbors and close friends.  It wasn't long before he was classified as 'The DJ Guy' in his community.  In his late teens, Staxx B saved up all that he could muster to purchase what was then known as the 'perfect set of speakers' immediately after touching the ground in Germany while serving in the United States Airforce.  His style is uncommon and can easily be described as a 'feel good' collection of musical storytelling, stacked and layered in various beats, pun intended.  Staxx B was born out of the amazing, articulate interpretation released through the blood, sweat, and tears of many musicians, artists, and producers; young and old.  He is a father, businessman, and mentor to many; even beyond the lights of the DJ booth.  To view his major influencers, check out the Music Happenings tab on this site.  Music is the air that helps the soul breathe; it unites, inspires, and uplifts through every race, gender, and sexual-orientation.  Staxx B embodies 'bass in ya face', invite him to set the musical tone for your next event.  [email protected]
